COMMITTEE PURPOSE
The 2024 Tourism Planning Committee will be the primary mechanism that carries out the projects to deliver our community’s tourism vision and manage visitor traffic throughout Lillooet. It is the committee members expertise and experience that gives our Tourism committee a well-rounded knowledge base.
This year, the Lillooet Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to join our 2024 committee team and help steer the development of the local tourism economy.
COMMITTEE MANDATE
The Committee will:

Act as a sounding board in the development of programs that benefit tourism in Lillooet.

Help align Lillooet’s marketing strategies with tourism marketing programs across the province.

Provide advice, support and recommendations to Tourism Lillooet on marketing strategies.
As a Committee member, you will:

Add project ideas and suggestions to the Committee to ensure a successful 2024 visitor season

Contribute to Lillooet’s objectives in a meaningful way

Work collaboratively to achieve success for our business community
To support the Tourism Committee, the Lillooet Chamber of Commerce will:

Schedule meetings and notifying committee members

Invite guests to attend meetings when required

Guide the meetings in accordance with the agenda, ensuring results, decisions, or actions.

Play a vital role in seeking out and securing funding from relevant sources and ensuring that the local priorities are understood at the regional level and are integrated with regional strategies.

Invite external partners to committee meetings to share projects and initiatives with Committee members.
